Occupational Therapists help children to engage in their everyday occupations (jobs). Children have many jobs that include; Activities of Daily Living (dressing, brushing teeth, feeding, etc.), learning, and playing.
Occupational Therapists use your child's interests as a starting point to developing therapy sessions that are engaging and often feel like play to the child. This engagement is what fosters growth and supports progress toward achieving goals.
At Achievements, we strive to provided not only the highest quality therapy services, but also a support system for your family. We work with the whole family to ensure that your child's therapy is integrated into your family life.
We offer individual, group, and consultation services which are provided in your home, daycare, or school. Our therapists have extensive training in Handwriting Without Tears, Sensory Processing, Feeding (S.O.S. Approach), Fine Motor Development, and Developmental Delay.
We also have experience working directly with schools to meet the needs of their students.
We provide individualized treatment plans to address your child's goals; tailoring each therapy session specifically for your child. Each child has unique needs, and we believe that the therapy they receive should be uniquely designed to meet those needs.
We provide individual occupational therapy sessions to enable the child to develop and grow to his fullest potential. Individual sessions include 50 minutes of direct therapy with the child and 10 minutes for discussion with parents or caregivers. Parents are always welcome to join the entire session.
